Dear 4-H club leaders, parents, chaperones and exhibitors,
Due to the inclement weather forecast for this weekend, the Board of Directors have made the following plans for the weekend:
- The Fair will operate as scheduled on Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27;
- At this time we are anticipating that the fair will be closed on Sunday, August 28;
- All livestock departments including horse and dog will attempt to complete all classes and judging on Friday and Saturday;
- Exhibitors will be allowed to exit the fairgrounds on Saturday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. However, if the weather situation warrants an earlier closing on Saturday, we will notify everyone of an earlier departure time. Our priority is for the safety of the people on the grounds, then livestock. You do not need to pick up static entries prior to departure on Saturday, these can be picked up on Monday following the fair between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
We will continue to monitor the weather situation as it develops and we will adjust our schedule as necessary. We would ask for your patience and understanding as we make our way through the weekend. The Department Chairmen for all of our departments will be doing their best to adjust classes so that all exhibitors have the best possible fair. Ending the fair on Saturday under these circumstances is challenging for all of us, but working together we can have an orderly and safe exit from the grounds.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your leader, department chairman or one of the Fair Directors.
Thank you.
